Jake Mitchell

Grew up on a cattle station west of Longreach. Now splits time between mustering work and exploring the outback.

Jake grew up on a cattle station west of Longreach, where the nearest town was two hours of red dirt away. He spent his childhood mustering, fixing bores, and learning to read country the way most people read maps.

These days Jake picks up seasonal work across the Territory and Western Queensland, travelling between jobs in a beat-up 79 Series with a rooftop swag. He knows which remote camps have reliable water, which station tracks are passable after rain, and which outback pubs pour a cold beer when you need one most.

He does not waste words. If Jake says a track is rough, bring two spares. If he says a camp is worth the detour, clear your schedule.
