Dwellingup sits in the heart of Western Australia's south-west forest region, surrounded by native bushland, creeks, and walking trails that range from short woodland strolls to full-day adventures. The town is a natural base for exploring the Darling Range forest network and is well-equipped for caravans and touring groups.

Walks & Trails

The area has excellent hiking options within walking distance of town. Close to the visitor centre are the BFG, Marrinup Circuit, Blaze, Whistler, and Ripper trails. For longer walks, the Marrinup POW Camp Trail Loop and Marrinup Falls walk trail explore local history and waterfall scenery. Further out, Dwarrlindjirrap Bridge, Chuditch Trail, Haul Road, and Nanga Brook Walk Trail offer deeper forest exploration.

Camping

Dwellingup has multiple camping options suited to caravans and camper trailers. Dwellingup Chalets and Caravan Park is just 1km from town, while Dare Adventures is 2km away. For budget travellers, Marrinup Townsite Camping Area offers free camping 4km out. Further afield, Baden Powell Campground - Lane Pool Reserve, Charlie's Flat Campground, Chuditch Camp Site, Swamp Oak Campsite, Tony's Bend Campground, and Nanga Brook Campground provide additional options near the longer walking trails.

Attractions & Things to See

Serpentine Falls is a scenic waterfall 43km south and makes for a worthwhile half-day drive from Dwellingup.

Golf

Regional golf courses include Waroona Golf Club (27km) and Pinjarra Golf Club (30km). Longer drives reach Boddington Golf Club, Serpentine Golf Course, and The Cut Golf Course.

Pubs & Dining

The Dwellingup Community Hotel is in town and features a beer garden. For dining further out, try Exchange Hotel, The Rec Hotel, or Redcliffe On Murray (all 27–29km away).

Wineries & Cellar Doors
