About Mission Beach & the Wet Tropics
Mission Beach sits on Queensland's tropical coast where the rainforest meets the sea. This laid-back beach town offers direct access to walking trails through ancient World Heritage-listed forest, plus long stretches of sandy beach ideal for caravans and camper trailers heading north.
Walks & Trails
Over a dozen walking tracks crisscross the area, ranging from short beach strolls to longer rainforest hikes. The Ulysses Link Walking Track starts right here, while Kerry's Beach Walk and the Cutten Brothers Walking Track are both within 1km. For longer walks, the Dreaming Trail and Lacey Creek Walk venture deeper into the rainforest, while Fan Palm Walk showcases native palms and forest canopy.
