Swansea sits on the northern shores of Lake Macquarie, NSW's largest coastal saltwater lake. The area is renowned for its dramatic cliff-top scenery, accessible walking tracks, and proximity to both lake and ocean beaches. It's an ideal base for touring the Central Coast with strong camping infrastructure and plenty of outdoor activities within easy reach.

Walks & Trails

The region offers a diverse range of hiking options, from short walks to more challenging terrain. Close to town, the Wallarah Peninsula Track (4km away) provides accessible coastal walking. For more adventurous hikers, trails like Slips, Lookout track, and Diamond Python Alley are all within 8km. The area also features climbing-focused trails including Walter Street, Goofy's, Ovadalog-Upsie Daisy, Trading Up, Elevator, Pants Python, Dumpty Humpty, and Bottoms Up.

Camping
