Visa Referral Disclosure

Last updated: 28 April 2026

1. We are not a law firm

Touringuide (“we”, “us”, “our”) is an Australian travel and tourism information website. We are not an Australian Legal Practitioner, a registered Migration Agent, or a law firm. We do not provide legal advice, immigration advice, or any service that is restricted to registered practitioners under the Migration Act 1958 (Cth).

The information published on our visa pages is general in nature. It is not a substitute for advice from a registered immigration solicitor or migration agent.

2. How visa enquiries are handled

When you submit a visa enquiry through one of our forms, we forward your details to one practitioner from our panel. Every practitioner in our panel is either:

  • An Australian Legal Practitioner holding a current practising certificate, or
  • A Registered Migration Agent regulated by the Office of the Migration Agents Registration Authority (MARA).

We do not attempt to assess your eligibility, recommend a visa subclass, or otherwise advise you on your immigration matter before forwarding the enquiry. The practitioner who receives your enquiry will contact you directly. Whether you choose to engage that practitioner is entirely your decision — you are free to seek advice from any other practitioner.

3. Referral fees

We may receive a referral fee from the practitioner who receives your enquiry, or from a lead-distribution partner that supplies that practitioner. This fee is paid by the practitioner (or partner), not by you. It does not change the fees the practitioner charges you for their services.

This disclosure is provided in line with the transparency requirements of the Legal Profession Uniform Law (NSW), (VIC), (WA) and equivalent rules in other Australian jurisdictions governing referrals between non-lawyers and Australian Legal Practitioners.

4. Your choice

Submitting an enquiry does not create a lawyer-client or migration agent-client relationship between you and any practitioner, and does not commit you to engaging the practitioner who contacts you. You are free to:

  • Decline the practitioner's services after they contact you,
  • Seek a quote from any other registered practitioner,
  • Apply directly through the Australian Government's ImmiAccount portal without using any practitioner.

5. How your information is used

The information you submit through a visa enquiry form (including your name, email, phone number, country of citizenship, current visa status, and a short description of your situation) is shared with the practitioner we refer your enquiry to, so they can contact you and assess your matter.

Detailed information about how we collect, store, and protect your personal information — including retention periods and your right to access or correction — is set out in our Privacy Policy.

6. Complaints

If you have a concern about the conduct of a practitioner you were referred to, you may contact:

If you have a concern about the referral process itself, contact us at support@touringuide.com and we will respond within 30 days.

7. Updates

We may update this disclosure from time to time. The version that applies to a particular enquiry is the version in force on the date the enquiry was submitted.
