About this campsite
This tent-only campground sits on the shores of Western Port in French Island National Park, with 10 campsites accommodating up to 40 people and free camping available by advance online booking. Located 5km from Tankerton Jetty via walking and cycling tracks, Fairhaven features shared picnic tables, gas barbecues, a cooking shelter, on-site toilets and tank water (which requires treatment), with no vehicle access or open fires permitted. The campground provides excellent access to walking tracks including Fairhaven Northern Beach and the West Coast Wetlands Walking Track, as well as cycling routes where you may spot koalas, Purple Moorhen, Swamp Harriers and Cape Barren Geese.
