About this campsite
This campsite in the southern part of Rinyirru (Lakefield) National Park sits close to the Laura River with two shady camp sites on flat ground above the water, accessible by 4WD on Battle Camp Road. Facilities include tent and camper trailer camping, campfires and generators (conditions apply), plus nearby access to the historically-significant Old Laura Homestead with its heritage buildings. Camping permits must be booked in advance, and note that the park closes to visitors during wet season from 1 December 2025 to 31 May 2026.
