About this campsite

This picturesque campground in Woomargama National Park sits on the banks of Basin Creek surrounded by Australian gum trees, offering tent and camper trailer sites with toilets, drinking water, barbecue facilities and picnic tables. The site has historic heritage significance from its tin mining past, with remnants like sluice holes and dredge holes still visible in the surrounding bush, and it's located on the Hume and Hovell walking trail near Albury Wodonga. Wildlife enthusiasts can spot wallabies, wombats, echidnas and birdwatch for gang-gang cockatoos, parrots and powerful owls, with camping available for a $6 booking fee.
